It’s Still Sundress Season

I’m a sucker for sundresses; I have been since high school. In fact, this outfit is basically a tribute to my high school style. Monday through Friday, I used to just throw on a flowy dress with a denim jacket and sandals… and just look at today’s look. (I also still own my signature high school denim jacket and it miraculously still fits!) I guess you can think of today’s look as the foundation of my signature style, my ‘fashion comfort blanket’ as you will.

I don’t know about where you’re at, but it’s still hot here in Phoenix. It probably won’t cool down until late September or early October. Either way, it just means I get to keep wearing these sundresses until the temperatures start getting below at least 90.

The next few weeks I will be out of town for both work and play, touching down in Las Vegas and New York. I’ve been a bit MIA on the blog lately, but hopefully this will give me some time to create new content and share more long-form blog posts with you all.

Today’s post is a little shorter, but bear with me while I get my ideas together. There’s a lot coming your way!

About my Outfit:

It’s pretty amazing how personal style can change so much over the years, yet somehow remain the same. Even though this look might be an ode to my old high school self, it’s the grown-up edition.

My old denim jacket was new, cropped, and fitted, while this one is distressed, vintage, and a bit oversized. I paired it with this Alive + Olivia silk slip( which I found secondhand on The RealReal), this on-trend acrylic bag from Cult Gaia, and a classic pair of nude mules.

Hi - my name is Kirsten! I am currently based in Chicago after a long cross-country move from Arizona. What will you find here? I love sharing all things sustainability and slow fashion, any of my day-to-day shenanigans, the latest new hobbies I picked up, and whatever concert or music festival I can find. Welcome and thanks for popping in to my little corner of the world wide web!
