This season has been my favorite fall yet. There are so many Instagram opportunities and fun activities going on to enjoy with someone special (or just a friend). This year, one of my favorite dates was a local beer festival. It was technically for Oktoberfest, so yes, I know this post is like a month late. But a beer festival is a beer festival and it would still make a great date regardless of the month.
Tucson’s version of Oktoberfest was called 4thtoberfest since it happened on our infamous strip of bars: 4th Ave. For a $10 dollar ticket, we got nickel 5 oz pours at 8 bars and they also had $5 bratwurst at a few locations. We tried three of them and the last one we had was definitely the best. The one from one of our favorite local restaurants, The Coronet, was amazing, which was really no surprise.
The event went from around 2 PM to 6 PM and since Tanner and I were able to get our hands on some extra tickets, we got to try almost every single beer brewed just for this event. We ended our night at a few places that we feel the need to go back to so we can enjoy it together when it’s not packed for an event.
I don’t have many other things to share with you guys about this event except these three tips:
- Try your local breweries.
- Facebook has the best local events, go see what your town or city has to offer.
- Never pass up the opportunity to have a bratwurst.
That looks like so much fun! Facebook events are such a good way to find fun things to do!
