Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m so happy you’re here and I hope you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for on the pages of this site. If you want to know a little more about me and the blog, you’re in the right place, so just keep on reading.
About Me
I’m Kirsten – I currently live in Denver after relocating here from Chicago (and Phoenix before that!) to start a new career. My life revolves around music so somehow, everything ties back to my next festival or show. I love learning new things and picking up new hobbies, so I’m always exploring my city for a class to try something new!
While working I started “this” blog back in 2013, when I was procrastinating studying for finals in my freshman year of college. a few rebrands later, and the blog has changed a bit since then (and so have I).
What will you find here?
Like I said – I’ve changed a lot over the years. When I first started posting regularly, I was studying abroad and posting a lot of travel content. The travel content has subsided a lot, so I started posting more on fashion and lifestyle.
After watching The True Cost, I decided I wanted to change the way I wrote about fashion. This blog has ultimately led me to a lot of connections and friendships within the fashion blogging community, but I didn’t quite feel I had found my niche there. I love fashion and have always been drawn to it but I struggled with a lot of the ways the fashion industry collided with my core values.
I want to see a change in the fashion industry and the fashion blogging industry alike, so I knew I had to make the change for myself. Deleting old posts would be deleting a part of my fashion blogging history. I can’t say I’m the same person as the girl who wrote those posts years ago, but I’m trying to be better today.
So – back to the original question – what will you find here?
I’m here to be a bit of a different voice within the blogging community. I’m not perfect, but I’m more committed than ever to write about slow fashion and the things I’m passionate about. You’ll see a lot about my recent knitting projects or sewing projects (probably something to wear at my next show) and occasionally you might see a post about a new class I tried in my city. You’ll definitely see a lot of concert and music festival content.
So fashion and a little bit of a boho lifestyle – the same things I’ve been sharing for years – but with a more conscious thinking behind every purchase, share, and post.
