Almost Acceptable

Just the other day, someone asked me how I managed to look so put together every day.  I told them it was quite simple: I have a uniform. They looked at me in confusion, so I clarified. Every day, when I really don’t want to get ready, I resort to wearing a button down and slacks (or jeans). I can get fancy on other days, maybe even wearing a skirt, but this is my fail-safe way to look put together when I’m just really not having it. Usually, I throw on my glasses and a high, messy bun to complete the whole ‘library intern’ kind of look. But come on, a button down with anything automatically makes you look put together.

Trousers with a straight cut have always been one of my obsessions. It all started with a Banana Republic pant and now we’re here. If you’re wondering why I gave my blog post the title that I did, it’s because, although it may be spring, it’s not quite Easter yet, making this white pant almost acceptable. Plus, I like alliterations.

In case you’re wondering (you’re probably not), I got this shirt on mega sale from Forever 21 (before I gave up online shopping for Lent) for only $5. It goes really well with the slightly more expensive pair of pants I have on from James Jeans. The pants were 100% worth it and they look oh-so-cute. I love how they look with a pair of kitten heels for work or my loafers and a vintage Tommy Bahama crop top (look coming soon, promise) for that 90’s Tourist mom kind of look.

As always, I linked my items below, so if you wanna hop on this super springtime look for work, you can see everything I’m wearing below!
