If there is one pair of shoes that I’ve had on repeat this summer, it’s my By Far Tanya mules in a go-with-everything nude patent. These square-toed beauties have been worn out to the bars, to the office, on dates, and more. They just match everything. Much like my Gucci Princetown Mules, I just can’t imagine my closet without them now.
They’ve been seen on bloggers and fashion editors everywhere and it’s not hard to see why. They also come in a ton of colors; if I had unlimited funds, the red color would have joined my closet a long time ago.
Alas, I don’t have unlimited funds and these nude beauties will have to do. Actually, my whole closet will have to do for now. I’m cutting back on my spending, but that’s a story for another time.
Sizing:
I would say these babies are true to size. I wear a 38 in my Gucci mules, a 38 in my Jimmy Choo Romy heels, a 38.5 in my Dior flats, and a 38.5 in my Manolo Blahnik Hangisi Flats. My feet are a bit on the short and wide side, so the toe feels a little long for me, but I wouldn’t size down because of that.
I got these in a 38 and they pretty much fit perfect. I would stick with your usual size. If you have narrow feet, I could see sizing down, but because I can’t personally recommend that, I would still stick with your normal size.
Quality + Comfort:
I have definitely worn these for my 8 hour days at the office. That being said, I wouldn’t do that more than one day in a row. They can rub my pinky toe the wrong way and cause little blisters if I walk too much in them.
However, the block heel is rather comfortable and easy to walk in and, overall, I would say they are comfortable heels.
Due to their nature of being thin-strapped sandals, they feel a bit delicate. I’m thinking of getting them resoled soon at my local cobbler to give them a bit more mileage.
Pros + Cons:
Pros:
- The block heel is the perfect height for work and walking.
- They match just about everything.
Cons:
- The sole might need to be resoled.
- The straps can rub if you walk in them too long.
Overall, they are still one of my best investment pairs of shoes.
