Just a few months ago, I published a post about Fun, Summer Date Ideas for Couples on a Budget, and now, it’s time for fall. Fall seems to be every girl’s favorite season for cute photos with pumpkins and PSLs. which is great, but it may not be your boyfriend’s idea of a good time. Maybe save the photoshoots for days with your girlfriends and take your boyfriend on date that the two of you can enjoy together.
So, if you’re looking for a fun way to spend a fall day with your SO, check out a few of my favorite ideas!
Brewery Hopping
Every guy loves good beer. Good thing I like it too. One of my boyfriend’s and my favorite things to do is hit up local breweries to get a flight of beer. You could opt to go to a place like Tap & Bottle in Tucson, which offers a large selection of different local craft brews, or you could make a whole day of it and brewery hop! Pick a few places you want to go (closer together is great so you can walk or catch an Uber) and get a flight of their beers.
(If you’re in Tucson, keep your eyes peeled for a roundup of my favorite local breweries!)
Wine Tasting
Beer not your thing? Opt for wine tasting! Tanner and I went wine tasting in Santa Barbara last summer and it’s the perfect activity for summer or fall! It’s relaxing and a fun way to spend a day! See if you have a local winery to try nearby or take a weekend trip to a place with a lot of wineries.
A Pumpkin Patch
A pumpkin patch date is the most iconic fall date. Last year, we went to try to find the biggest, roundest pumpkin we could! Spend some time getting lost in the corn maze and then pick out your pumpkin. Make a whole day of it and carve the pumpkin when you get home!
Attend a Football Game
Fall is also the time for football, which I’m sure every guy out there knows. Treat your guy to tickets to see his favorite team play or snag two tickets to you college homecoming game!
Hike in the Fall Foliage
Hiking is just as good of a summer date as it is a fall date. See if you can find a local hike that features more fall foliage to enjoy all the colors of fall during your hike.
Visit a Haunted House
My boyfriend loves haunted houses, scary movies, and anything of the like. Last year, we did a haunted corn maze with two other couples. We’ll see if he can convince me to go again this year.
Go on a Ghost Tour
My boyfriend’s love of haunted houses is paralled in my love for paranormal activity. If you have a cool ghost tour in your city or town, check it out! There’s no better time to try to see a ghost than Halloween time.
