I held off on purchasing these shoes for a long time. I mean, this much money for a pair of jelly flip-flops? Hard pass… until I saw the gunmetal on black glitter and monochrome red colorways in a Neiman Marcus store. (Both of these colors are NM exclusives and I have no doubt they will sell out this season.) While these shoes are relatively easy to style and have a ton of reviews online, I was actually really surprised at the lack of outfit inspiration I could find for these shoes. I mean, they just match so much, how could I be coming up short on something as big as the world wide web? So, while I’m sure you will continue to see these shoes on me well past the peak of summer, here are a few outfit ideas to get you started.
Graphic Tees
I’ve been on a graphic tee kick lately. Maybe it’s because they seem to go with everything. From skirts to jeans and heels to sandals, graphic tees may be one of the easiest items to style.
Tied up with a denim skirt or high waist jeans, these sandals add just the right touch of edge and femininity.
Athleisure
Honestly, I wear these flip-flops to the gym more than I wear them anywhere else. Since I keep my sneakers in the car, these are always what I throw on when I’m running out the door at 5 am.
The best part about these shoes? They really dress up an already cute athleisure look for running your errands!
Poolside
Jelly sandals and the pool go together like, well, peanut butter and jelly I suppose. You can’t go wrong wearing these to the pool!
However, make sure to keep them in the shade so they don’t get too hot when you put them back on!
So which color should I choose?
Part of the reason I chose black color with the gunmetal studs was because it seemed a bit more unique. A lot of people own the nude pair and the black pair with the signature gold studs, and for good reason. Those colors are versatile and match just about everything.
I tend to see the nude pair more often than the black, probably because they’re a little easier to match with colorful and bright summer outfits. However, I can’t see the black not working with those outfits either. While I tend to rock more gold than I do silver, I love the color of the gunmetal studs. They were just too hard to pass up.
And the red color… Don’t get me started on these. My friend at work, who shares my affinity for designer shoes, and I were looking at these sandals online and I told her how much I loved the pair I got. When her and I saw the red pair, the credit cards came out. (She ordered two pairs that day, by the way.) So now, we can match in our red jelly sandals.
The red are surprisingly easy to match. I thought it might be more complicated, but because I tend to wear a lot of black and white, the red really brings in a nice pop. They’re also perfect for just about any summer holiday.
