This year, things are a lot harder. I promise you all, I want to be blogging full time but it’s not feasible right now. Sometimes the content is there, but the writing isn’t. Sometimes, it’s the other way around. With all the work I’ve been doing in my grad program, it can be difficult to make my blog a priority. However, I love what I’ve been doing on Instagram lately, so definitely take a look at all the new content!
In fact, I just posted a new post where I got real about trying to portray the perfect life and I was absolutely shocked with how many people responded. For those of you who missed the post, it was a photo of me sitting at a coffee shop with my legs crossed. I shared how I felt my legs looked fat in the photo and I didn’t want the cellulite to show. I was doing my best to start a conversation about inner beauty and even outer beauty; we are our own worst critics.
It felt good to share something so real and see such a positive response from so many women. It’s important to share even our vulnerable moments so we can all remind each other that we’re all just human.
So here’s to 2018. I’m not changing drastically, but I vow to be more real this year and share those real moments with you. It’s going to be great, I promise.
If you don’t hear from me soon, don’t worry too much, I’m just struggling through the Masters of Accounting program.
