So, as I’m sure some of you may know, my boyfriend and I are currently in a long-distance type of situation. He came into Tucson this weekend for my sorority formal and we watched a lot of Parks and Rec and Christmas movies to get into the spirit of the holidays.
Now, my boyfriend also makes the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had, but I may be biased. Every time he comes into town, I ask him to make this for me. This time, I kinda sorta helped. By helped, I mean I made mimosas, bought the ingredients, and did the dishes. I think it counts, right? Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and biscuits and gravy is just the best comfort food after a long week, especially when it’s prepared by my favorite curly-haired guy. This is also such a warm and comforting breakfast to have on cold winter mornings.
I don’t know about you guys, but I have finals coming up this week and next week and sometimes you just need a little comfort food to get you through. This is easy, isn’t too expensive, and sure will help you feel all the warm, tasty comfort you need during this trying time.
I also have a newfound love for Immaculate Baking. All of their products are made using wholesome ingredients and you can really taste the difference. I was a Pillsbury girl for a long time, but I loved these. I made a recipe a few weeks ago featuring their pie dough, and that was tasty too. You can try their products with a $1 off coupon here. Their products are in lots of Targets, Whole Foods, and Sprouts, but if you’re looking for a particular product, they even have a product locator on their website which you can get to here!
Maybe it’s not the most nutritional breakfast in the world, but it sure is good for the soul, which is much needed during this Finals season. Good luck to my collegiate readers out there! May the curve be ever in your favor!
