Red Wine + Red Dresses

This post has been sponsored by Bodegas Faustino. All opinions are my own.

Maybe it’s the country music I listened to every summer, but I have always associated red dresses with summer. Paired with my favorite denim jacket and a glass of red wine, it’s a match made in heaven. This wrap dress also makes me feel like dancing, kind of like the girl-in-the-red-dress emoji. With a little bit of wine in me, I also think I can dance, so the red dress and the red wine really do work well together.

However, if you know me well, you know that I can pick out a good wine for just about anything. To me, any time is wine time.

Today, I’m drinking Tempranillo Red Wine from Spain. It has aromas of redcurrant, cherry, and vanilla, followed by velvety flavors of red cherry and raspberry. The result is a fruity wine with a long and espressive finish. It makes me want to sit at a café in Spain and enjoy plates of tapas with a glass of wine in one hand. This wine is made by Faustino, a winemaker that has been perfecting their craft for more than 150 years, resulting in some of Spain’s most iconic wines.

This is the kind of wine you drink that makes you think of a story. Some wines are just good, but this one takes me somewhere.

I imagine myself walking down the streets of Spain, laughing in slow motion like those girls in commercials, and relaxing and drinking wine on a Spanish veranda. I know, it’s a stretch. But in this dress and with this Spanish wine in hand, it’s the perfect little travel fantasy.

Ah, so the travel bug has bitten me again. Unfortunately, a trip to Spain isn’t in the cards this summer. Maybe next summer, who knows? But for now, I’ll have to settle for Faustino red wine and a red dress, twirling around my apartment’s pool and pretending I’m somewhere else.
