In the 3rd grade, I got my first set of braces.
In the 7th grade, I got my second set of braces.
In the last few months of my junior year of high school, I finally got those suckers off for good. Yes, I diligently wear my retainers [almost] every night. After all, teeth like these don’t come cheap and no way will I ever get braces again.
Once I got my braces off, it didn’t take me long to fall in love with my new smile. Others did as well. It quickly became one of my best and most charming features, leaving a lasting first impression everywhere I went. So, you may be asking, what do I do to take care of my pearly whites?
Well, as an avid coffee drinker, you can bet that I need to keep my pearly whites white. I fight a constant battle of coffee stains and not enough water. It can be tough on the teeth. I was using whitening strips for so long, about once or twice a year usually before big events, but now I’ve found an even better solution: the SmileBrilliant Teeth Whitening system. This is the first time I’ve ever used custom-fitted trays and I love them. There’s no more pulling sticky strips from my teeth or being worried about putting the strips on correctly every time. It’s not uncomfortable and it’s perfect for sensitive teeth.
Those whitening strips I used to swear by left my teeth sensitive and tingly for days; SmileBrilliant teeth whitening is so much better. Not only is their product amazing, and work exactly as it is supposed to, they have an additional product for those with sensitive teeth like me. They have a desensitizing gel that you use after your teeth whitening gel that you use in a custom-fitted trays, and you can choose to use it before too, that will help decrease that uncomfortable feeling of using whitening products.
I was also just blown away by their customer service, which is a big factor in my deciding to work with a certain company. When I had sensitivity issues, I went on their website and was advised to use the desensitizing gel before my strips and in between days when I whitened. I was also advised to use the whitening formula every day for 30 minutes instead of an hour every other day. Tips like these made me completely fall in love with the company.
The only thing I would say is that this isn’t a fast fix. This is permanent and slow-going whitening. In my opinion, I think it’s much better for you than the rapid whitening and the results are ultimately going to end up better. However, this involved a lot of diligence and remembering to use it months before my big events. Do I recommend? Oh yeah, I do. Some people who whiten for longer and more often may even see faster results than I did. Everyone is different, but I love my results.
