Hi! My name is Samantha and I’m the blogger and content creator behind Style By Samantha. SBS is the refined woman’s guide to all things style, life, travel, career, and New York City happenings. I created SBS to share my love for fashion, perfect my writing skills, and create a space to save the memories of my twenty-something years. What started as a fun challenge for myself to curate looks and create a website, grew into a way for me to share some of my favorite photos and everyday thoughts. A few things about me, I feel fearless while I’m wearing a comfortable pair of kitten heels and have a cafe au lait from the neighborhood coffee shop in my hand. I’m a bit of a personal development junkie and you may find me binging on a new podcast or reading a business article from my favorite magazine. I spend my days working in the technology industry and my nights and weekends sharing through most digital platforms under the SBS name. I grew up in Kansas City, called Denver home for 6 years, and moved to NYC in early 2017.
I’m sharing some of my favorite (& affordable) red dresses that you can wear far beyond February 14th. Whether it’s a night out with your S/O, drinks at a cocktail bar with girlfriends, or a night out dancing, I’ve got your next red dress choice covered.
It’s the time of year where we’re either looking for that perfect red dresses to impress our date or the coziest pair of pajamas to spend for a night in with our girlfriends. Even if you’re not spending February 14th with your S/O, I think having a red dress on hand that we can pull out on a whim is essential. You never know if you’ll be hit with a last minute date night or a night out with friends. Red dresses come in handy for so many different reasons!
I’ve pulled together some of my favorite affordable red dresses that can be used far beyond February14th. I’m wearing a double breasted blazer minidress form Topshop. I paired it with tights since New York City can be somewhat of a frozen tundra around this time of year (sigh), but I could also wear it without tights into the spring and summer. If you’re going for strictly causal, my favorite is this SomethingNavy ruched detail dress. It’s a cotton material that can allow you to dress it up with some gold jewelry or down with a trendy pair of sneakers. If your Valentines Day plans involve dinner at an upscale spot, this lace Aphrodite ruffle dress is a definite show stopper. Lace and ruffles are taking over this season and I love the way this dress uses both trends.
No matter where your February 14th takes you, I hope you have a fabulous Valentine’s Day that’s spent with people you love and A LOT of chocolate. Thanks for allowing me to share some of my favorite red dresses of the season! You can find me over at StyleBySamantha.com and on Instagram at @style_bysamantha.
