It’s no secret that I love Tucson. When I first moved here, it seemed like nothing more than a college town with a lot of pride in their University. When I turned 21, however, the game freakin’ changed. I brought a car to school and soon, the whole city was at my fingertips.
Even though a lot of people still have the opinion of Tucson that I once had, I started exploring Tucson about a year ago and found so many things to love about it here.
The Food
I literally tell everyone that Tucson is UNESCO’s city of gastronomy (which means a city of eating and drinking, folks). It’s good living in a city that loves making good food just as much as I like eating it.
If you want to visit Tucson, there is no shortage of good restaurant options. There are places for brunch, places for a nice romantic dinner, and all kinds of places in between. Although, to be honest with you, I usually pick the dinner or brunch.
Brunch is practically a holiday in Tucson. Every weekend, the brunch places open their doors and sorority girls and Instagram fanatics alike flock to the snap-worthy restaurants with photogenic food in a photogenic location.
Personal favorites? The Coronet and Prep & Pastry are pristine brunch locations and downtown is the perfect place to go if you’re in search of a good lunch or dinner.

The Outdoors
Tucson desert landscape isn’t always for everyone, but it’s definitely for me. The fall is the perfect time to come down here and hike as the weather cools down or visit our Saguaro National Park to enjoy the real desert scenery.

The Events
I’m always on the lookout for fun events to attend in Tucson. Lately, I’ve gone to the Margarita Championship and 4thtoberfest, two fun events I was able to attend with my boyfriend!
There are always new events popping up, especially if you like tasty mixed drinks and good craft brews. After all, there’s no better pairing for good food than good drinks.
